Boundaries - What That Looks Like?

May flowers...Have you noticed? Have you taken the time to really notice how the environment around you is coming to life? Walk around. Take in the view. Smell the roses.

It has been a very challenging time, and, as the teachings of yoga tell us, it’s an opportunity for us to recognize the yin and yang of every moment. As humans, we have a perception that things should go a certain way, our way, all the time, or we consider them as “not going well”. We tend to put a timeline on things. A moment on earth and a moment in spiritual energy is different. Aligning with Mother Moon we benefit from letting things unfold as they are meant to be without interfering in the process. I think that most of us will agree that this is very challenging as we tend to try to push things in the direction that we believe to be better.

This week we were blessed with a beautiful full moon. Purnima (the full moon) has a special significance on the path of yoga. It is a symbol of the fullness of our inner selves. It reminds us of the perfection that lies within each human being. The softness of the light of the moon reminds us to be soft, kind, compassionate towards ourselves and others, and perhaps being less fiery. The understanding of our deepest desires, and defining our personal boundaries will move us in the awareness of the perfect moment within each moment. Being grounded in our needs soften our day-to-day experience. Balancing the fire (sun) with the softness (moon) is the path towards joy and ease.

It is way time to look at our boundaries, and let go of what we think others expect from us or want from us. We are to listen to our deepest self, way beyond the ego-self, and listen to what is asked of us so we can take better care of our needs. The best time to get clarity is when we are silent and we truly, intentionally listen. Whispers from your deepest self can be heard.
